Gallants Restructure Technical Team Amid Growing Pressure on Malesela

Marumo Gallants have once again revamped their technical staff by appointing Sundra Govinder as an assistant coach.

Govinder, who recently ended his stint with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars, is set to officially join the Bloemfontein-based club on Monday, December 16th. He will work alongside head coach Dan Malesela and first assistant Duncan Lechesa.

At present, Gallants are positioned 12th in the Betway Premiership, accumulating 10 points after nine matches. Their recent loss to Polokwane City has intensified the pressure on the squad.

This season has seen significant changes within the club’s technical department. Notably, former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki has been appointed as the club’s technical director.

There are rumors suggesting that Malesela’s position as head coach may be under threat if the team does not show signs of improvement. Ntseki could potentially be seen as a candidate for the role.

Gallants secured their position in the top flight by taking over from Moroka Swallows during the off-season.
