Tyson Fury has conveyed doubt regarding the presence of his father, John, in his corner for the world heavyweight title rematch against Oleksandr Usyk this Saturday.
Fury Snr received backlash for giving his son “atrocious and unprofessional” advice during Usyk’s majority points victory in May.
In a rather unfortunate incident, he headbutted a member of Usyk’s camp just before the major Riyadh superfight.
When questioned about the likelihood of his father being present in his corner again in Saudi Arabia this Saturday, the Gypsy King, 36, responded: “I don’t know.”
“I don’t involve myself in that nonsense.
“I simply go to the gym, train, fight, collect my paycheck, and return home. That’s always been my approach.”
Film crews captured Fury Snr shouting over trainer SugarHill Steward and giving contradictory instructions during their initial encounter.
Former world super-middleweight champion Carl Froch voiced his discontent: “That was unacceptable. Very poor and unprofessional behavior in his corner.
“When John Fury occupies the corner, shouting at you alongside two others offering guidance, it makes it hard to process any of it.”
Steward, assistant trainer Andy Lee, and cuts man Frank Hopkins are set to return to Fury’s corner.

Nevertheless, Lee admits he too is uncertain if Fury Sr will be present this time, stating: “Who knows what will happen? I certainly don’t.
“Last time, the corner was chaotic, especially towards the end of the fight.

“There were three distinct voices: SugarHill, John, and myself.
“From a father’s standpoint, I understand he was trying to protect his son.
“However, SugarHill was concentrated on achieving the victory.
“I was informed that Tyson was trailing by two rounds, and I had to relay that to him.”
