Mokwana, a former winger for Sekhukhune United, maintained his stellar form by netting a stunning goal in the 48th minute against the Egyptian giant Pyramid in the CAF Champions League.
His team, Espérance Sportive de Tunis, secured an important 2-0 victory on Saturday, elevating them to the top of their group with a total of seven points.
Meanwhile, former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Mailula played a crucial part in aiding Rulani Mokwana’s Wydad Athletic Club achieve a significant 3-0 win over JS Soualem, propelling them to third place in the Botola League.
Goals from Oussama Zemraoui, Mehdi El Moubarik, and Sidi Bouna sealed the victory for Wydad, with Mailula assisting both Moubarik and Bouna’s goals. Following this win, the Moroccan team is now five points behind the league leaders, RS Berkane.
