LUKE HUMPHRIES is striving for back-to-back championships at the forthcoming World Darts Championship.
His partner, Kayley Jones, will support him throughout this journey – SunSport has all the details about Cool Hand Luke’s family.
Who is Kayley Jones and how many children does she have with Luke Humphries?
Kayley Jones, born in 1994, is the partner of world darts No. 1 player, Luke Humphries.
As they prepare for the US Darts Masters set for May 2024, Humphries recently announced their engagement to his long-term girlfriend, Kayley.
Cool Hand shared the moment with his fans on Instagram, saying: “A moment I’ve been anticipating for quite some time… I just wanted to wait for the perfect moment!
“Today was that moment. At the edge in New York, just the two of us, I asked the question. Proud to say Kayley said yes!”
Kayley is a mother of two; her first child, Grace, was born in 2013, and her second, Rowan Ellis, arrived on October 9, 2022.
The family lives in Crewe, Cheshire.
It remains uncertain whether Kayley had Grace with Luke or a former partner, as some sources suggest that Luke became a father for the first time in 2022.
Kayley keeps a relatively low profile on social media, but she occasionally shares family snapshots with her followers.
For Grace’s birthday, she posted on Instagram with a caption: “Happy 10th birthday Gracie” accompanied by a heart emoji.
Luke announced the birth of their new baby in 2022 on Facebook:
“Absolutely ecstatic to welcome my and Kayley Marie’s son into the world last night at 10:09 PM, weighing 7 pounds 9 ounces!
“I’m overwhelmed by how incredible Kayley was throughout; she displayed remarkable strength during labor, and I’m so proud of her.
“We’ve named him ‘Rowan Ellis Humphries’; both mom and baby are doing well and settling in at home now!”
Who is Luke Humphries and what’s his darts record?
Luke Humphries was born on February 11, 1995, in Newbury, Berkshire.
Despite being a major darts champion now, he grew up in a football-loving environment.
His father, a Leeds United supporter, named him Luke as a tribute to his favorite team, using the letters of his name to represent “Leeds United Kings of Europe.”
Currently, Luke holds the rank of World No. 1 and is the defending world darts champion after beating Luke Littler in the 2024 final.
Although he engaged in playing darts during his teenage years, Luke turned professional at 21, and has averaged over 1000 legs per year since then.
Cool Hand Luke secured his first major title at the 2023 World Grand Prix, overcoming favorite Gerwyn Price and taking home a prize of £120,000.
