A planned undercard bout for Tyson Fury versus Oleksandr Usyk 2 has been canceled due to a positive drug test result.
British super-bantamweight fighter Dennis McCann has been pulled from his match against Peter McGrail following an “adverse finding” in his anti-doping test.

An update issued on Friday evening by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and organizer of major fights in Saudi Arabia, indicated: “The Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) has informed all involved parties that Dennis McCann tested positive in a doping test conducted ahead of his upcoming match.”
“Mr. McCann’s fight scheduled for next Saturday has been canceled as the relevant parties investigate the matter further.
“At this time, no further comments will be made.”
McCann’s promoter, Frank Warren‘s Queensberry, has also confirmed the bout’s cancellation.
Currently, McCann holds the title of European super-bantamweight champion, a title he claimed in July.
At the age of just 23, he is also the British and Commonwealth champion.
The McCann vs McGrail fight was one of five undercard bouts planned for Fury vs Usyk 2.
The main event is slated for next Saturday, December 21, in Riyadh.

Fury has made it clear that he will not make the mistake of trying to outbox Usyk in his crucial rematch.
The former unified heavyweight champion commented: “I’ve always been a fierce competitor, and that hasn’t changed as I near my 40s.

“This time, I’m approaching it with the mentality to demolish. Previously, I attempted to box him and played it too safe.
