During the occasion, he was asked about various players from his new squad, including the adored Palmer.

When Sky Sports questioned how “arguably the best player in the world right now” fits into his strategy, Tuchel smiled and responded: “That might be a bit too enthusiastic when talking about individual players!”

“However, it’s undeniable that he is in exceptional form, and I hope he continues to develop while maintaining this standard; then everything will be in place.

“He is a joy to watch. He is calm, composed, and impressively precise in both scoring and assisting.”

This season, Palmer has netted 11 goals and provided six assists in 17 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions.

Fans were thrilled with Tuchel’s comments regarding the midfielder, with one fan saying on X: “Look at Tuchel’s smile while discussing Cole Palmer…”

Another noted: “He was eager to talk about him.”

A third fan said: “Together they will lead England to great success.”

Having previously collaborated with the striker at Bayern Munich last season, Tuchel confirmed that Kane will keep the captain’s armband.

“At present, there’s no reason for a change. Harry has always been a fantastic captain for England. So, why even think about it now?”
