The Placepot is a betting method where you choose a horse to finish in the FIRST SIX races of any meeting.

You can opt for more than one horse in a race – the number of selections in each race influences your stake. Thus, for wagering, it would be 2x2x2x1x2x2, totaling 32 lines.

You can stake any amount starting from 5p a line, costing £1.60 in total. Staking 10p a line totals £3.20, and so forth. As long as at least one horse in each race places, you’ll receive a payout!

Don’t forget to claim your £40 bonus when you place a £10 wager as a new customer with Tote HERE*.

Cheltenham Placepot support – Friday, December 13th

LEG 1: That’s Nice, Country Mile

THAT’S NICE is poised to leverage the 7lb allowance she receives from the boys, demonstrating great potential with her victory at Warwick last month. Nico De Boinville barely had to push her to secure an impressive win, and she is expected to build on that positive beginning.

COUNTRY MILE gave a solid performance in a Haydock Grade 2 last month, although a mistake at the last flight cost him greatly. This firmer ground should benefit the Skelton runner, who still has considerable room for improvement.

LEG 2: Caldwell Potter, Jango Baie

CALDWELL POTTER started to justify his hefty purchase price with a commanding win on his chase debut at Carlisle just 12 days ago. He jumped well and is expected to make significant progress moving forward. Previously competing at a Grade 1 level over hurdles, he seems hard to beat.

JANGO BAIE also excelled over hurdles and was an unfortunate runner-up at Aintree last seen. Nicky Henderson has expressed encouraging views about his schooling.

LEG 3: Valgrand, Tintintin

VALGRAND is likely to be much more at ease over this distance, having started the season with a Grade 2 win on the Old course. He surged ahead by 17 lengths, but found the promising Potters Charm too much to handle over 2m5f last time out here. Though carrying top weight, his initial mark might be favorable, and he performs well on suitable ground.

TINTINTIN put in a commendable fourth place in the Greatwood Hurdle here last month. He returns off the same mark, presenting strong place prospects once more.

LEG 4: Chianti Classico

CHIANTI CLASSICO possesses the requisite class to carry weight following his spectacular comeback win at Ascot last month. He showcased his capabilities by winning the Ultima at this year’s Festival and performed admirably in a Grade 1 at Aintree. His remarkable jumping remains a significant advantage, and trainer Kim Bailey has made an impressive start to the season.

LEG 5: Shan Blue, Shakem Up’Arry

SHAN BLUE showed strong potential towards the end of last season and was a commendable fourth on his return at Bangor recently. He sustained a good position for a substantial part of the race on challenging ground and will benefit from presumably better conditions. Although inconsistent, this will be his first attempt in a veterans’ race, which may finally highlight his best form from a declining mark.

SHAKEM UP’ARRY tends to perform well after a break and previously triumphed in the Festival Plate during his last visit to Cheltenham. Although he’s facing a 6lbs weight increase today, he remains a fierce competitor.

LEG 6: Mister Coffey, Delta Work

MISTER COFFEY earns one final chance from me to secure a victory over fences. He made a promising return from a nine-month break, performing well on this cross-country course last time. Despite finishing strong in second place, the winner had already established a lead. With Nico De Boinville now aware of his stamina, he can keep the Nicky Henderson chaser closer to the action, and his weight has been trimmed nicely.

DELTA WORK has a strong history here and poses a notable threat. Although he appeared a bit rusty in his return at Down Royal last month, he is anticipated to showcase his true capabilities. With Rob James reducing his weight by 7lbs, he is not even carrying the top weight.
