Following the match, reporters gathered to interview Le Bris.

It was then that they were jolted by the falling ceiling panel.

According to Sunderland correspondent James Copley, the incident was caused by a leak above.

A recording of the event quickly made its way around social media.

“Is that the roof giving in on their promotion hopes?” one fan jokingly commented.

Another added: “Just like their current league performance.”

Sunderland was initially behind after Luke McNally scored in the 62nd minute.

Patrick Roberts then rescued a point with a dramatic goal in the 93rd minute.

After the match, Le Bris praised his team’s resilience, claiming they earned the point they achieved.

He stated: “Definitely, I feel we deserved it.

“We started the match with strong energy and a great pace.

“We executed our game plan with quick ball movement and tactical setups, creating several scoring chances.

“However, we lacked numbers in the box to capitalize on our crosses.”

Sunderland will be back in action this Saturday, heading to Swansea.
