This match was truly a showcase event, as Humphries narrowly triumphed 7-4 after being down 4-2 at one stage.

The tournament broke records by registering the highest total of 180s (914), generating £914,000 for charity, which was rounded up to a remarkable £1 million.

With intense competition, especially between the two Lukes, fans can anticipate a spectacular display at Alexandra Palace.

Humphries is set to kick off his campaign on the tournament’s opening night, taking on the winner of Thibault Tricole vs. Joe Comito, while Littler won’t enter until December 21—coinciding with Tyson Fury‘s rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.

Additionally, prominent players such as Stephen Bunting, Nathan Aspinall, and Michael van Gerwen are expected to compete.

Sadly, there will be no emotional farewell for darts legend Steve Beaton at Ally Pally, as the Bronzed Adonis failed to qualify after the first round of Tour Card Holder qualifying.
