All Blacks Clash with the Boks, Challenging Their Remarkable Home Streak

The All Blacks have revealed the locations for their two Rugby Championship test matches against the Springboks next year.

The initial test is scheduled to take place at the historic Hampden Park in Auckland on 6 September. New Zealand boasts an impressive unbeaten streak of 50 matches at this venue, with 48 victories and two draws.

The second test is planned for 13 September at Sky Stadium in Wellington.

This upcoming series presents the Springboks with a chance to respond, having hosted both tests in South Africa this year. Their triumphs in those matches marked their first Freedom Cup victory since 2009.

The Springboks have been on an extraordinary winning run against the All Blacks, having secured four consecutive victories, including last year’s Rugby World Cup final in France. This remarkable streak began with a World Cup warm-up match held at Twickenham Stadium.

By choosing to hold the first test at the iconic Hampden Park, the All Blacks are putting their unbeaten record to the test. The Springboks will be eager to extend their winning streak against their long-standing rivals.

In addition, the Springboks are scheduled to face Australia in two Rugby Championship matches in South Africa, with the specific venues yet to be announced by SA Rugby. They will also compete against Argentina both at home and away before concluding the year with the Autumn Nations Series in the UK.

Importantly, the Springboks made history during the 2023 Autumn Nations Series by winning all three matches on their tour, a remarkable achievement they hadn’t accomplished since 2013.
