BILLIONAIRE racing mogul JP McManus is poised to potentially enter one of his top stayers into the King George Chase on Boxing Day as a surprise entry.
Last month, McManus reveled in a thrilling 1-2 finish in the John Durkan Chase, with Fact To File edging out Spillane’s Tower in a nail-biting performance.
Currently, Fact To File holds the title of favorite for the Gold Cup, while Spillane’s Tower may set its sights on another prestigious race in England.

Trainer Jimmy Mangan emphasized that his leading runner thrives on softer ground for optimal performance.
If Fact To File remains in Ireland during Christmas, rainfall in England could lead to Spillane’s Tower joining the Boxing Day event.
McManus remarked on TV Sunday: “I would like to see at least one of them competing on Christmas at Leopardstown, and we need to consult with Willie (Mullins) and Jimmy Mangan before we finalize.”
“I may target Kempton with Spillane’s Tower, but he has a preference for softer ground, and a supplement will be required, so we need to make decisions a week in advance.”
“The expected weather will greatly influence our choices.”
“Corbetts Cross also favors softer conditions, making it difficult to determine our direction when ground conditions are unpredictable.”
