Reports indicate that MOHAMED SALAH is nearing a new contract agreement with Liverpool.
The Egyptian winger’s current contract with the Reds, signed in June 2017, is set to run out at the end of the ongoing season.
Salah, 32, mentioned late last month that the club had not yet reached out to him about extending his tenure at Anfield.
However, it now seems that the management of the Reds has made a new contract offer to the Egyptian international.
This information is sourced from The Mirror, which claims Salah is close to finalizing a new two-year contract at Anfield.
Salah had reportedly sought a new three-year agreement to secure his future with the club, while Liverpool’s initial offer was for just one year.
Nevertheless, both parties are now believed to have reached a “compromise” on a new two-year deal.
Rumors of Salah’s upcoming two-year deal have surfaced following comments from ex-Egyptian international Haytham Farouk, who stated that the former Chelsea and Roma star had already signed a new contract.
In a post on X featuring a photo of himself and Salah, he wrote: “Congratulations on renewing your contract with the number you like and the period you want.
“The Egyptian king reigns with his own decisions.”
