DARTS star Luke Humphries found himself in an awkward exchange with snooker icon Shaun Murphy after claiming that achieving a nine-darter is more difficult than completing a 147 maximum break.

The reigning world darts champion Humphries expressed that for a novice, executing a 147 break would present the most significant challenge.
However, he maintained that for a seasoned player, completing a nine-darter would be the more daunting challenge.
The world No. 1 stated: “If you give someone a dartboard, a snooker cue, and a golf club, I believe they would likely score a hole-in-one first, then achieve a nine-darter, and lastly complete a 147. That would be the hardest to achieve.”
“However, a professional player knows all the angles in snooker.”
Former world snooker champion Murphy chuckled before replying, “I didn’t realize you were a comedian. A 147 is more difficult than a nine-darter.”
Humphries retorted, “What’s funny about that? Did you listen to what I said? I pointed out that as a pro, understanding the angles makes it appear uncomplicated.”
“When you compare frames to legs in darts, there are more 147s than nine-darters.”

Murphy then responded, “Well, that doesn’t imply it’s simpler.”
