RUBEN AMORIM has raised doubts about whether Mikel Arteta would have been afforded the same time to succeed at Manchester United as he has been at Arsenal.
Arteta clinched the FA Cup in 2020 during his first season, but as he celebrates his FIFTH anniversary as Gunners manager this month, he has yet to secure additional trophies for the Emirates.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013, no manager at United has remained longer than three years at Old Trafford.
The newly appointed Red Devils manager Amorim is gearing up to lead United into battle against second-placed Arsenal on Wednesday, stating: “Confidence is key for a coach, but it must be recognized that Manchester United operates a bit differently.
“The level of scrutiny and attention we face here is immense, so I realize that having enough time may not be realistic.
“As a result, we will strive to handle this and seek quicker results, keeping in mind the considerable focus and daily examination we undergo.”
Amorim has conveyed his admiration for Arteta’s achievements during his tenure at the Gunners.
Since taking charge in December 2019, Arteta has navigated ups and downs, including a period where he suffered six losses in 11 matches, which saw Arsenal slip from Champions League qualification to their fierce rivals Tottenham.
Amorim, who replaced Erik ten Hag, aims to uphold the composure that Arteta displayed during tough times at Old Trafford.
He commented: “He’s done an exceptional job. Coaches are frequently judged solely by titles, but what he has achieved at Arsenal is, in my view, remarkable. He has rejuvenated the team.

“He has nurtured several young talents who are now integral players in this nation.
“I aspire to adopt the same attitude he maintained during challenging periods, having closely followed the Premier League for many years.”

“This has been extremely difficult for me, as I genuinely thought I had overcome my recent challenges, but sadly, I’ve encountered another setback,” Shaw conveyed on Instagram.
“These past few months have been the hardest of my career. I’m heartbroken and struggling to come to terms with this reality.
“I know many will feel frustrated, angry, or disappointed. No one experiences those feelings more intensely than I do.
“What I can promise is that I will do everything within my power to return stronger and to contribute to the goals of this club this season.”
