FEYENOORD forward Anis Hadj Moussa is emerging as a prominent target for Premier League teams ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.
The 22-year-old Algeria international is having a standout first season in Rotterdam following his £3 million move from Patro Eisden, a Belgian second-tier club.
Born in Paris, Moussa, a left-footed right winger, showcased his skills as the Dutch side rallied from a three-goal deficit to thwart Manchester City’s winning streak in the latest Champions League round.
Feyenoord’s sporting director Dennis te Kloese playfully approached the winger in the Etihad tunnel after the match and quipped: “You’re no longer on our roster. Head over to City’s dressing room; I’ve sold you to them.”
Currently, Moussa is catching the eye of multiple Premier League clubs eager to enhance their squads when the January transfer window opens, with Feyenoord open to negotiating offers around £10 million.
The decision to sign Moussa was backed by former Liverpool manager Arne Slot before his switch to Anfield, while Leicester and Tottenham are also tracking his development.
Moussa’s agents, Mohammed Dahmane and Hamzah Sadiek, have journeyed to the UK to generate interest and hope to finalize a deal soon.
City held a strong position in the match with a 3-0 advantage by the 53rd minute, courtesy of two goals from Erling Haaland and a contribution from Ilkay Gundogan.
Nevertheless, Moussa ignited the comeback by scoring in the 74th minute, which was followed by a goal from Santiago Gimenez to bring the score to 3-2, and David Hancko netted the equalizer just before the final whistle.
City manager Pep Guardiola appeared visibly exasperated after the match, showing up for his post-match interview with red scratches on his forehead.
