MOHAMED SALAH is open to accepting a new one-year contract at Liverpool, despite increasing frustrations over how the club is managing his contract situation.
The Egyptian forward’s current contract is set to end at the conclusion of the summer, and he stated last month that there are no current offers from Liverpool, as the club adheres strictly to its salary structure.

In July 2022, Salah signed a three-year contract estimated at around £350,000 per week and seeks a similar agreement with a pay increase to continue with the club.
However, according to a report from The Athletic, the 32-year-old Salah is amenable to a contract extension lasting another twelve months, which would temporarily settle talks around his future as the team strives for the Premier League title.
His primary ambition is to remain with the club where he has won one Premier League title, one Champions League, one UEFA Super Cup, one FIFA Club World Cup, one FA Cup, and one EFL Cup, scoring 224 goals in 369 appearances.
However, negotiations seem poised to drag on, with Liverpool yet to express their position, a scenario that has left Salah discontented with the club’s higher management.
In a public exchange with the club where he has enjoyed eight successful years, Salah mentioned that he felt “more out than in” following the 3-2 Premier League victory over Southampton on November 24.
After the 2-0 win against Manchester City last weekend—during which he scored one goal and assisted another—he suggested this could be his last match against Pep Guardiola’s side at Anfield.
Starting January 1, Salah will be eligible to negotiate with foreign clubs, and he has garnered interest from several prominent European teams, including Paris Saint-Germain, along with various Saudi clubs.
In the summer of 2023, a £150 million offer from Al-Ittihad was turned down.
Nevertheless, Liverpool asserts that discussions with Salah have been positive, and the player has scored 13 goals in 20 matches under new manager Arne Slot.
