The full-back has made three substitute appearances against Ipswich Town, Bodo/Glimt, and Everton since regaining fitness.

However, after the weekend’s match, the England international has suffered another minor injury.

In a heartfelt message to fans, Shaw shared the emotional impact this setback has had on him.

Despite the disappointment, the defender remains determined to come back even stronger to aid United.

Shaw addressed his followers on Instagram, stating: “Hello everyone, it pains me to share this as I truly believed I had overcome my recent challenges and was on a positive trajectory, but unfortunately, I’ve experienced a minor setback.

“I’ve endured numerous highs and lows, yet this has undoubtedly been the toughest stretch. I am genuinely devastated, and accepting this reality is incredibly difficult right now.

“I understand that many will feel frustrated, angry, and disappointed, and I completely empathize. No one feels this more than I do at this moment…

“But I promise to give my all to return even better and to help this club achieve its goals this season. Thank you all for your incredible support. It truly means a lot to me.”

Reports from the Manchester Evening News indicate that Shaw has sustained a muscle injury and is expected to be out for several weeks.

This means that new Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim will be without the left-back for the upcoming match against Arsenal.

Ruben Amorim humorously SLAPS Man Utd players in training as fans joke ‘I hope Luke Shaw doesn’t get hurt’

The Red Devils are set to clash with the Gunners on Wednesday at the Emirates in a critical Premier League encounter.

Under Amorim, the Manchester giants remain unbeaten, achieving two wins in his first three games as manager.

Ruben Amorim is ‘Mourinho 2.0’ who transformed Sporting from ‘walking dead’ into Portuguese champions… he can revive Manchester United

WHEN Ruben Amorim was appointed manager of Sporting Lisbon in March 2020, a club official described their plight as resembling the “walking dead,” writes Jordan Davies.

Hope and enthusiasm were at a record low.

However, the Amorim influence was immediate, guiding the Portuguese giants to their first league title in 19 years during the 2020/21 season, losing only once and conceding only 20 goals.

Since then, Sporting has secured another league title in 2023/24, alongside two League Cups, and they currently lead this season with nine consecutive victories.

Despite his youth, Amorim has a vision for rebuilding and revitalizing struggling giants, complemented by his contagious charisma and solid tactical philosophy.

The “walking dead” at Manchester United will be hoping for a similarly remarkable revival.

And they might just uncover it in one of Europe’s most talented young coaches, a man skilled at rejuvenating faltering teams like Old Trafford.

Amorim has long aspired to coach in the Premier League, motivated by his admiration for former United boss Jose Mourinho.

Affectively labeled ‘Mourinho 2.0’, Amorim interned for a week with his coaching idol at United’s Carrington training complex in 2018, considering him a “reference point.”

While United shouldn’t expect a mere mimicry of Mourinho, Amorim himself remarked: “Mourinho is one of a kind. There won’t be another Mourinho. Mourinho is unique.”

Nevertheless, comparisons are bound to arise.

In light of past mismanagement within the Old Trafford managerial roles, securing Amorim would be a real stroke of genius – a genuine challenge that rivals in the Premier League may not be prepared for.
