England’s Marc Guehi Under FA Investigation for Wearing ‘I Love Jesus’ on Rainbow Armband Before Newcastle Match

MARC GUEHI may be facing repercussions from the FA after adding the inscription “I love Jesus” to his rainbow armband.

The 24-year-old defender for Crystal Palace wrote the three-word message on his captain’s armband during the recent match against Newcastle on Saturday.

The FA guidelines allow for “initiative slogans/emblems” but explicitly ban “political, religious or personal slogans, statements or images”.

According to ESPN, he could face disciplinary action from the FA, as this incident might be viewed as “an aggravating factor”.
