Gabriel has confirmed he WILL be ready to face Manchester United this Wednesday, despite worries about an injury.
The Arsenal defender was taken off at half-time during Saturday night’s 5-2 victory over West Ham.
This substitution was needed due to a muscular issue he suffered during Tuesday’s away victory against Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League.
Gabriel played through pain at the London Stadium, where he also netted Arsenal’s first goal.
However, after a clash with Lukasz Fabianski that resulted in a penalty for the Gunners’ fifth goal, manager Mikel Arteta opted for caution and replaced him at halftime.
The Brazilian posted on Instagram: “Three points and we continue fighting together! Thank you for your support, Gunners. See you on Wednesday!”
Centre-back Gabriel, 26, has started every Premier League match for Arsenal this season, scoring three goals, and the team is hopeful he will be fit for the encounter with United.
Mikel Merino (knee) and Thomas Partey (muscular) are also working hard to recover in time.
Arteta has dealt with numerous injury setbacks involving several defensive players this season, as Ben White is reported to be facing an extended recovery period.
Takehiro Tomiyasu, Jurrien Timber, and Riccardo Calafiori have also been unavailable for several matches.

Arsenal ratings vs West Ham

West Ham and Arsenal put on an unforgettable London derby on Saturday night, featuring SEVEN goals in the first half alone.
The Gunners raced to a 4-0 lead within the first 35 minutes, but the Hammers quickly narrowed the gap with two goals, including a spectacular free-kick from Emerson.
Bukayo Saka’s penalty just before halftime restored the lead to 5-2, marking only the fourth Premier League match ever to see seven goals before the break.
The second half was relatively uneventful, with Mikel Arteta making substitutions while keeping an eye on Wednesday’s match against Man Utd.
This win lifted the Gunners to second place in the Premier League, six points behind Liverpool ahead of Sunday’s crucial clash between the top team and a struggling Man City.
