COLE PALMER had fans laughing as he frowned and dismissed a reporter’s inquiry about Chelsea’s title aspirations.
The 22-year-old made a significant impact in their 3-0 win against Aston Villa yesterday, contributing with a goal and an assist.
After his impressive display, Palmer was asked by Match of the Day commentator Mark Scott which aspect of his performance he was most pleased with.
Staying true to his character, he bluntly replied, “Three points.”
The victory brought Chelsea to 25 points, putting them level with Arsenal in the table, with seven wins, four draws, and two losses under their belt.
Additionally, Chelsea and Arsenal share the same goal difference, both having scored 26 goals while conceding 14.
Currently, they lag behind league leaders Liverpool by nine points, which led to Palmer being asked why Chelsea shouldn’t be considered title contenders.
He shot the BBC reporter a skeptical look and stated, “Nah, it’s too early, man.”
Fans found the interaction hilarious, with one saying, “Palmer is truly one of a kind.”
Another commented, “The expression he made, lol. I love him. Such a genuine non-PR guy.”

The same question was posed to Blues manager Enzo Maresca, who seemed much more inclined to explain why they don’t regard themselves as title challengers.
He stated: “We are not ready, and the reason is that teams like Man City, Liverpool, and Arsenal are, for various reasons, superior to us.”
