He began potting reds and blacks, quickly realizing he was on the path to a maximum break, completing the clearance in less than 14 minutes.

The Englishman, who won the world amateur title four years ago, reset the balls and astonishingly replicated the feat again, this time in merely 18 minutes.

The venue later released CCTV footage of the stunning breaks and tweeted: “Our academy has operated for nearly nine years, and last week saw one of the most amazing events as @AcHugill accomplished back-to-back 147s in match practice.

“We recorded it all and shared it on YouTube for your enjoyment!”

One viewer commented on the video, “What an incredible achievement. Congrats Ashley 💪.”

Another said, “The recovery shots in the second 147 are absolutely mind-blowing 🤯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.”

A third simply stated, “What a player!”

Hugill made his debut at the professional world championships in 2022, where he was eliminated in the first round after a 10-5 defeat to 2010 champion Neil Robertson.

In that same year, he won praise from snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan after a match against The Rocket.

O’Sullivan remarked: “A big shout out to Ashley Hugill. He’s 27, not particularly young by snooker standards, but still a fantastic player who lacks experience on the Tour.

“He possesses many admirable traits, and I don’t offer compliments without justification.

“Much like Wu Yize earlier this week, he has the potential to become a world champion if he continues to grow and receives proper guidance.

“There are correct and incorrect approaches to a sport, and both of them exhibit the right way to play snooker.

“You can win, but if it’s done incorrectly, you won’t catch my interest. Sometimes how you play matters; there are good players, great players, and exceptional players.”

In response, Hugill said: “That was a tremendous morale booster for me. I’ve watched that interview multiple times, and my family loves to see it.

“Ronnie has been very supportive; we even went for a run together because I’m quite into running, and I’ve been learning from him.”
