The Wolves committed three significant errors that had dire consequences, as Justin Kluivert became the first player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick of penalties, propelling Bournemouth to a 4-2 triumph.
Kluivert initiated the scoring for the Cherries with a penalty just three minutes into the game.
Nevertheless, the home side swiftly leveled the match with a goal from Jørgen Strand Larsen just two minutes later.
The action intensified when Milos Kerkez scored in the eighth minute, regaining the lead for the visiting team.
Kluivert converted another penalty ten minutes later, increasing Andoni Iraola’s squad’s lead to 3-1.
Both teams created numerous opportunities for the remainder of the first half and much of the second half.
After halftime, both Larsen and Kluivert netted again.
Kluivert’s final penalty was awarded after Jose Sa fouled Evanilson for the second time.
This was the third penalty awarded to Evanilson, who joined the club from Porto during the summer transfer window.
