Hendry Confident Rocket Will Bounce Back
Snooker icon Stephen Hendry has voiced his conviction that Ronnie O’Sullivan will turn things around after a recent downturn in form, expecting him to clinch victory in at least one of his upcoming two tournaments.
The 48-year-old faced surprising early exits from the Champion of Champions and UK Championship, falling to Xiao Guodong in Bolton and then losing to Barry Hawkins in the first round at the Barbican in York.
Despite this setback, Hendry remains hopeful, sharing on The Snooker Club podcast: “Right now, it’s easy to conjecture, but I believe he will either win in Saudi Arabia or at the Masters. Winning both would be a bold prediction.”
“He’s heavily invested in his academy over there, and this will certainly fuel his motivation for that tournament. The Masters is like his backyard; he’s clinched eight titles there, and the audience really cherishes him.”
“I’m confident he will come away with at least one victory from those events. While it’s possible he could take both, I think he’ll land one.”
