FOOTBALL enthusiast Pat Davidson proudly holds the distinction of being Britain’s oldest and most dedicated fan, having supported her beloved Hibernian FC from the stands for an astounding 91 years.
At 96 years old, Pat’s love for the sport started when her father Angus took her to their Easter Road stadium in Edinburgh when she was just five years old.
When she moved into a care home, she feared that her days as a Hibs supporter might be over.
Nevertheless, the staff delighted her with a VIP hospitality experience at the club, complete with a lavish four-course meal, during the Scottish Premiership match against St Mirren on November 9.
When she meets new people, her first question is always, “are you a Hibby?”
Reflecting on her feelings during the match, she shared: “I’m crying because I am so happy.

“I never thought I would be able to watch a game again.”
“It brought back so many memories of my dad, back when the admission price was two and six, and we had to stand.
“Isn’t it wonderful that I’m still able to have adventures at 96!”
Living at Lauder Lodge in the city, Pat was also presented with a new Hibs scarf and had the chance to talk with the club’s sporting director, Malky Mackay, about the game.
Unfortunately, there were no perks from St Mirren, who triumphed over the bottom-placed Hibs with a 2-1 victory.
